手機韌體不升級，APP版本也跟著不升級？

手中的iphone5，基於硬體考量下，韌體決定永遠停留在ios 7.1.2
而當下的APP也均是在ios8尚未推出前下載的
所以會有一種感覺就是，當下版本其實就是最適合ios 7的

想請問一下各位，手機韌體如果不升級，是否APP版本也就不要再升級？
繼續升級下去會不會發生閃退、耗電、執行速度變慢等不可預期的問題？
還是其實根本就沒有關係？
