美國聯邦政府採用Apple Pay系統

歐巴馬13日抵達加州矽谷主持網路安全高峰會，並且帶給蘋果執行長庫克一個大禮物：美國聯邦政府的支付卡，包括社會福利與退伍軍人福利給付，將採用蘋果的Appple Pay系統。美國總務署 (GSA)的消息說，這項協議包括美國政府透過GSA SmartPay系統核發的美國財政部Direct Express支付網與政府用卡系統。GSA SmartPay每年經手8740萬筆，價值2640億美元的支付。

GSA負責處理美國政府所有機構的動產、不動產及公務需用物品的採購、供應和保養。
