平凡到日食當三番嘅雞蛋到咗食界用途多蘿蘿，法國小食界有法太太（ Croque Madame）、英國有 brunch必食 egg benedict，而在尖沙咀美國餐廳 Applegreen，周末提供的一道特式火腿煎蛋，有個朵叫 egg in the hole，好似黑洞吞噬宇宙般夠晒霸氣，做法是在烘香過的麵包中間開個圓型小洞，將雞蛋放入洞中，就咁睇並唔覺雞蛋喺入面，一打開內有乾坤，吃時再配豬肉、雞肉、薯片及小生果拼盤，好豐富，在當地好流行，特別受小孩子歡迎，不過光說是小孩子鍾情有欠公平，事關如此吸引金黃色蛋黃，以及蛋汁爆發一刻破喉嚨每一個細胞，暖流直達胃壁，任大人細路都難以抗拒吧！

除了最大路名稱 egg in the hole，亦有"frog in the pond"、"bird's nest"、"bullseye toast"、"paddy egg"幾個不同別稱，不過說到底都係描述緊呢隻消失的雞蛋！
