營收滑降 邦諾分拆Nook事業

彭博報導，邦諾公司（Barnes & Noble Inc.）面臨連鎖書店和Nook電子閱讀器事業營收雙雙滑降的窘境之下，同意將這兩個事業分拆成個別掛牌的公司，設法改善業績。

邦諾在聲明中表示，明年第1季前將完成分拆。邦諾今天也公布第4季財報，顯示連鎖書店同比銷售減少，Nook也持續虧損且營收滑降。邦諾預測這個會計年度同店營收將以「低個位數」下滑。

邦諾執行長赫塞比（Michael Huseby）在聲明中表示：「我們決定如果這些事業有個別資本和獨立營運的話，將有股東價值最大化的最佳機會。我們完全預期零售和Nook媒體事業在分拆後，互相將持續有長期、成功的商業關係」

邦諾股價一度大漲14%，報23.35美元。截至昨天收盤，今年股價累漲38%，部分是因為購併傳聞帶動。

紐約Maxim Group LLC分析師丁克（John Tinker）說：「邦諾過去幾年的日子不好過。他們終於找到辦法對付Nook，現在他們以合乎邏輯的方式前進，分拆兩個天差地遠的事業。」
